- ไม่ควรดื่มแอลกอฮอล์ขณะรับประทานหญ้าหางม้า เนื่องจากจะทำให้ระดับของวิตามินบี 1 ลดลง
- ไม่ควรรับประทาน ขณะตั้งครรภ์ หรือให้นมบุตร
- ไม่แนะนำสำหรับผู้ที่มีภาวะของโรคหัวใจ โรคไต โรคเบาหวาน และเก๊าท์
